“Platt” Single Release –
Yusha Assad
North Carolina Native Hip Hop Artist/Songwriter, Yusha
Assad, announced the release of his single entitled “Platt” the first release
from “With Great Care: The Struggle”. The Struggle will be the 2nd EP of a
three part series consisting of The Heart, The Struggle, and The Dream.
The single “Platt” was inspired by the movie 12 Years
A Slave. In the song, Yusha reflects on the details of the movie and relates
the experiences to the modern idea of corporate slavery. The overall theme of
the song is the promotion of freedom, independence, and personal success.
As an artist, Yusha creates quality, refreshing and
timeless music that connects the hearts of people through storytelling,
encourages listeners to make strategic moves toward success, and inspires them
to live optimally. Not to mention his impeccable flow and captivating vocals
that seem almost effortless.

About Yusha Assad

creative word play all describe hip-hop artist Yusha Assad. Born Joshua
Blackwell, Yusha is a North Carolina native by way of Washington, DC, striving
toward a future of success. Humbled by his roots, Yusha connects to the soul of
his listeners while providing reflections of his life, love, business and
religion.
Yusha Assad has been writing and singing since age
seven. He is inspired by artists such as Jay Z, Nas, Sam Cooke, and Lauryn
Hill. The works of these artists all play a role in Yusha’s artistic craft. He
is inspired by the stories of hustle and success by Jay-Z, the knowledge that
Nas expresses, the pure and soulful melodies of Sam Cooke, and the love and
spirituality that Lauryn Hill delivers through her lyrics. Yusha is also
passionate about educating the youth. He believes that education could
be used to change the lives of students. Being an educator for over five years,
it is important to him to teach youth to follow their dreams, as well as allow
the students to motivate him with his continued path toward success. He says, “Teaching has given me the opportunity to be
better by allowing me to reflect on my own character and needs. My students
have motivated me to follow my dreams, and so I get the opportunity of not just
telling them to succeed, but I get to show them how.”
Yusha is currently working on “The Struggle” the
second installment of “With Great Care” which is set to be released fall of
2014. The first EP, “The Heart” was released September 3, 2013. It speaks about
purification, emotion and intention.
